    Report summary

    Group of experts had the complex task of re-accrediting the institute, with its simultaneous division into two institutes and the accreditation of a new master's degree program. The vision and mission of AREMA – College of Logistics and Management are in line with the needs of the wider environment and in line with European policy. The study program European Regional Management (VS) has never been implemented, while Transport Logistics Management (VS) is implemented on a regular basis. The institute has adopted a development strategy for the next ten years (2020-2030). Good cooperation between the institute and the business environment in the field of transport and logistics and excellent connections with employers were established. Project assignments with public presentation, which students prepare within the study practice or based on the treatment of issues from the work environment where they are employed, are a useful practice and a well-accepted form for students, their mentors and employers to connect theory and practice and exchange knowledge and experience between students. Great flexibility and good responsiveness of the teaching staff, readiness for explanations and assistance to students in relation to the subject matter and the study were perceived. The institute enables students to obtain scholarships or scholarship studies. Students highly praise the schedules of lectures at the school, which allows them easier participation because of job duties, and allows the institution to fully implement the number of planned contact hours in the curriculum. This way of offer is one of the particularly prominent advantages of this institution. However, there are also some areas where experts have written a series of 39 recommendations or opportunities for improvement and in some cases also identified noncompliance with standards. We recommend the institute to activate the already established research group to strengthen the scientific research work of the institute. The criteria for the appointment of higher education teachers in the Art. 22 and 24 should be harmonized with the requirements of the SQAA criteria "Special minimum standards for election to the title". The institute does not have a suitable library of its own, which is also written in the splitting plan, so it should establish a suitably equipped library that would enable quality work for students and employees. Library services are provided by employee who does not have the appropriate library education or skills. The professional associate who temporarily runs the library and provides library services for students and employees does not have the appropriate library education or qualifications for the provision of these services, but is supposed to achieve this status in the future. Care should be taken to ensure that the library is run by a suitably qualified person, as required in 39. a. and b. article of the Librarianship Act

    Report summary

    The study program is mostly consistent, the courses are well connected with each other in terms of content (vertically and horizontally) and form an interesting, practically oriented and manageable set of knowledge. By connecting internationally oriented topics in the field of management, economics and law, students will gain a comprehensive set of complementary knowledge that will enable them to solve business challenges in an international environment, only methodological knowledge is lacking. It is necessary to check certain elements in the curricula of courses, unify them and update them. It would be recommendable to add a course that would cover methodological content, as secondlevel students need this knowledge, not least to write their master's thesis. The planned implementation of the new study program in Ljubljana will be possible only when the program is accredited and already implemented at the primary location. Even after the latest amendments of the institute, three lecturers' certificates of habilitation are still missing, so it is not possible to fully assess their suitability. The actual workload of some of the more engaged lecturers should be checked and relieve them if necessary. The significance and research potential for the development of the master's program in the case of the transfer of the MM study program to a new institution should be assessed. It is also expected to estimate in what time AREMA VŠEF will be able to develop scientific research work to a satisfactory level and prepare a financially evaluated plan of 5-year development in this field. Knowledge of English is not listed as an enrolment requirement, although it is listed among the requirements for taking all subjects. Given the diversity of acquired knowledge in the fields of management, finance, accounting, informatics, methodological knowledge at the undergraduate level when enrolling graduates from broadly defined fields of science, it would be appropriate to define the entry conditions for 27 this group of students more precisely to determine their knowledge in completed undergraduate programs. The conditions for enrolment for graduates of non-social science programs are not defined in advance.

Verifiable Credentials

A Verifiable Credential (VC) is a digitally-signed and thus tamper-evident document containing information on a subject (e.g. personal information, entitlements of an individual, degrees held by an individual or accreditation of a higher education institution). Quality assurance results recorded in DEQAR can be downloaded as W3C-compatible Verifiable Credentials.

Currently, two types of credentials can be issued:

EBSI Verifiable Accreditations (VA) can be used by a higher education institution in the context of the EBSI Early Adopters programme.

  • The VA allows the institution to prove its external quality assurance on the Trusted Issuer Registry (TIR). EBSI VAs are only issued for external quality assurance results with an official status in a national system (“part of obligatory EQA system”).
  • At present, the higher education institution’s EBSI DID needs to be communicated to EQAR and recorded in DEQAR manually at the moment. If you are a higher education institution participating in EBSI, please contact us to register your DID.
  • EBSI VAs are issued by EQAR under its DID did:ebsi:zk4bhCepWSYp9RhZkRPiwUL.

DEQAR Format Verifiable Credentials primarily serve as a proof of concept and public demonstrator currently.

  • DEQAR Format VCs are based on the plain W3C Recommendation and our own data model. While they closely follow the EBSI Schema, no EBSI-specific or EU-specific elements or data types are used.
  • The higher education institution is identified by its DEQAR URI in this case.
  • DEQAR Format VCs are issued by EQAR under its DID did:web:data.deqar.eu.
