Summary
Report summary
FZAB conducts study programs at the 1st (Nursing, Physiotherapy), 2nd (Nursing, Health Promotion) and 3rd level (Health Sciences). The study programs are meaningfully 27 upgraded in terms of content and ensure vertical development of students' professional competencies. FZAB also conducts education / training programs (Healthcare-associated infections, Nursing care in mental health and psychiatry, Mentoring in the clinical setting). The study program Nursing corresponds in scope (number of hours of clinical practice) and content to the European Directive for regulated professions. The study programs Nursing at the 1st and 2nd level are accredited by the German agency AHPGS, accreditations were not renewed after they expired. The study process is carried out in Jesenice (two locations) and at a dislocated unit in Ljubljana. The undergraduate study program Nursing is conducted as a concessionary full-time study program and as a part-time study program, the study program Physiotherapy is conducted as a full-time and part-time study program, all other study programs are conducted as part-time study program. The internal organization of FZAB is in accordance with the Higher Education Act, but there is a deviation in the organization with regard to the Statute (number of vice-deans). The study programs are implemented by 84 teaching staff, of whom six (6 FTE) are fulltime employees. Elections to the titles are conducted accordance with the Criteria for Elections, which are higher than the minimum standards set by SQAA for election to lecturer and senior lecturer. FZAB works well with teaching institutions where nursing and physiotherapy students undertake clinical practice, whilst providing a source of employment for suitably qualified staff. The employability of graduates (nursing, physiotherapy) is 90% after six months, and 100% of graduates in 2nd level study programs. The Center for Lifelong Learning, Career Counseling, Tutoring and Mentoring organizes annual training for mentors and staff in teaching institutions and other staff in health, social care and other institutions in the region and beyond. Some events have an international character. Students are appropriately involved in faculty committees and can participate in all major decisions. They can express their opinion through various student questionnaires and the data is conducted and analyzed regularly. FZAB takes care of the development of students and provides them help through the established tutoring system conducted by students and teachers. Students get necessary information through various sources (website, ŠIS, phone, SMS messages). Regional editors are responsible for updating the information on the website. In the period 2007-2020, the faculty has carried out 63 projects, currently two more projects are active, in both of which the faculty is involved as a partner. The research projects also involve students whose research results are in the form of published articles, master's theses and confirmed topics of doctoral theses. However, the quality indicators within the long-term goals of scientific research are not fully achieved. In the field of quality assurance, FZAB has an appropriate quality system. The Quality manual describes the procedures for monitoring the achievement of goals and for monitoring the satisfaction of all actors involved in the educational process. Quality is monitored through self-evaluation of all processes taking place at the faculty through various forms of external evaluation. At the management level, the establishment of a quality system is well recognized, but less so among students and new staff. 28 The faculty employs 8 non-educational staff, whose workload is increasing with the increase in student numbers and the opening of a dislocated unit. The faculty employs two librarians who have passed the librarian exam. Both assist students and teachers with literature searches in databases and enter publications into personal bibliographies. The number of library units is increasing by an average of just over 300 units per year. FZAB is funded by concession funds, student fees, research projects and registration fees. The allocation of funds is decided by the Governing Board. FZAB is characterized by a large affiliation of both students and teachers, non-teaching staff, mentors from educational institutions and future employers. FZAB has been proactive in responding to the Expert Group's report by listing some activities that have already been undertaken to improve the quality process and also listing activities that will be undertaken in the future. Thus, the impact of the improvements will be visible in the next evaluation. -

Summary
Report summary
FZAB has started the implementation of higher vocational physiotherapy course at the first level in the academic year 2018-2019. It does not have a concession for the implementation of the study program, but it implements it as a full-time and part-time study program. The study process is carried out in Jesenice and in the dislocated unit in Ljubljana. The study program is conducted also by experts from practice with appropriate habilitation. Cabinets are adequately equipped, equipment and supplies of greater value are transferred from site to site. The study program is meaningfully upgraded and ensures vertical development of students' professional competencies. During this period, there have been only minor changes in individual subjects at the suggestion of a teacher or the students. Initiatives for change are given at the Chair of Physiotherapy and will be taken into account in the comprehensive analysis of studies after the completion of the study program for two generations, ie in 2022-2023. In view of the proclamation of the epidemic COVID -19 in the academic years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, the FZAB adapted the implementation of the pedagogical process and conducted lectures and seminars in distance learning, as well as examinations, cabinet exercises and clinical training in contact with patients when the epidemiological situation allowed it. Students adapted to the requirements of the teaching institutions, were regularly tested and some even vaccinated. Clinical training takes place in health, social and other specialized institutions and is led by mentors who must meet certain requirements (education, professional experience, participation in a school for mentors). The mentors evaluate the acquired competences of the students according to well-defined criteria. Both students and college teachers needed the help of support services in implementing the pedagogical process through the online platform, and teachers increased the number of tutoring meetings for students. The quality of work and satisfaction of all those involved in the implementation of the study program is determined by the FZAB through a survey, and the results are published in the evaluation reports for each academic year. These findings should be communicated to all stakeholders through the members of individual FZAB bodies. FZAB will begin the full modernization of the study program after the completion of the training of two generations of students at the end of the academic year 2022-2023. -

Summary
Report summary
FZAB has started the implementation the third level PhD program of Health Sciences in the 2017-2018 academic year. It is conducted part-time at the dislocated unit of Study Center in Ljubljana. The study program is vertically and horizontally interconnected, so that the content is horizontally interwoven and vertically upgraded. At the beginning of the study program, students acquire theoretical knowledge for the transition from professional practice to academia when they develop the topic of a PhD thesis and conduct research. The study program is also guided by experts from foreign universities who provide students with current content of the field covered by each subject. So far, 31 students are enrolled in the study program, two of whom already have a fixed topic for their doctoral thesis. The most important reason for the low number of advanced students was perceived by FZAB in their unrealistic view of the complexity of studies and the unequal level of prior knowledge of research methodology, which it has already addressed with appropriate measures (interview, new methodological subject). Students have access to the required literature located in the on-site library and to international bibliographic databases. They are involved in research projects of the faculty and have published 34 scientific papers since their matriculation. The faculty provides a sufficient number of mentors who meet the conditions set out in the doctoral regulations. The quality of work and satisfaction of all those involved in the implementation of the study program is determined by the FZAB through a survey and the results are published in the evaluation reports for each academic year. The study program is evaluated annually, with minor changes that do not alter the written competencies. Full renewal of the program of study will begin after five academic years, at the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, and will include renewal of the curriculum, method of testing proficiency, and learning outcomes deemed necessary based on the results of the evaluation reports. -
